here's some milestones in stephen's life for the last few months after we moved to our new house.
the other day, I randomly pick up aliphatic and ask Stephen what is it and 90% of the time he got it correct. His teacher also mentioned that he was able to match numbers in word to the corresponding numeric. It was awesome
Stephen usually play train by putting them into straight. These days he has reduced that and just the other day when we put the train track together (after a long time) he actually put his train on it and push it on the track just like any other kids will do. And there after, he continues to do it for the next few days that the track was there. You can imagine the joy.
when Stephen is riding in the car, there are some songs that are have been in the CD player the last 3 yrs. We realized that he was actually singing some of the songs and doing some actions too. It kind of match the songs and we wonder where he learned the actions from.
one of the greatest joy for parents is to have their child acknowledge their love and express their love to their parent. Stephen have not expressed these area for the last 3 yrs. But very recently and consistently he gave us kiss when we request "kiss".
to further that, I experiment by asking him if he loved me and these days he continue not to say but will look at me or lean near me to kiss me, either on the cheek or on the lips. You can imagine the joy. Really think he is aware of what I am asking. This is one question that I can ask him repeatedly and he will consistently kiss.
another great new is Stephen has been doing his "she she" in the toilet via a mug the last few days. Once we realized that his dryper was day when he came back from school (usuallu wet". He was brought to the toilet and he "she she". Then the next day, after the long night,we realized that his dryper was dry again. At first we were concern that he has bladder problem. Then it dwell upon me that he might be controlling. When we got him to the toilet, he "she she" again. Oh what joy. Today her repeat when ever we brought his to the toilet and others time, his pant was dry. Really hope that this will be the beginning of toilet training which he has been doing well. Guess what ? Today he did all his "she she" and "poo" in the toilet.
We do thank God and his teachers and all that has been with him thus far to witness his growth.
